QR Code for a PDF

Let people open your document with one scan — no app, no upload.

To make a QR code for a PDF, you host the file somewhere you control — your website, Google Drive or Dropbox — and point the QR at that link. We never upload or host your file, so the code keeps working as long as your link does, with no trial expiry and no watermark. Great for menus, manuals, brochures, flyers, price lists and resumes.

You own the file, forever

Because you host the PDF, no provider can disable your code behind a paywall later — a common trap with 'upload your PDF' tools.

Update the document anytime

Replace the file at the same link (or use a dynamic QR) and every printed code shows the new version — no reprint.

Nothing forced through our servers

We only encode your link in your browser; your document never touches us.

How to make it

  1. 1Upload your PDF to a place that gives a public link — your website, Google Drive (share → anyone with link), or Dropbox.
  2. 2Copy that link, pick the Link tab below and paste it.
  3. 3Style the code and add a frame if it's going on print.
  4. 4Download SVG/PDF for sharp printing and test it on a phone.

FAQ

How do I make a QR code for a PDF?

Host the PDF somewhere you control (your website, Google Drive, Dropbox) to get a shareable link, then paste that link here and download the QR. Scanning it opens your PDF. We never host the file, so there's no trial to expire.

Why not use a tool that hosts the PDF for me?

Many 'PDF QR' tools upload your file and then disable the code unless you pay — your printed code can stop working. Hosting the file yourself avoids that entirely: the code keeps working as long as your own link does.

Can I update the PDF after printing the code?

Yes — replace the file at the same URL, or point a dynamic QR at it so you can swap to a totally new link later without reprinting.
