What this QR studio does

  • Guided 3-step flow: content → customize → download, with static or dynamic chosen upfront
  • Live design studio with gradient, liquid, holographic and chrome styles
  • Visual shape swatches + one-tap colour palette combos
  • SCAN ME call-to-action frames — your own text and colour, exported in PNG & PDF

  • UTM tag builder — track campaigns in your own analytics, no pixels
  • Scan-analytics dashboard — scans-per-day chart, totals, top countries and iPhone/Android split
  • Live scannability check that warns before you print a code that won't scan
  • Save & reuse your designs (stored in your browser) + share a remix-this-design link

QR code FAQ

Is this QR code generator really free with no watermark?

Yes. Design and download as many QR codes as you like — SVG, PNG, animated GIF or WebM — with no watermark, no signup and no expiry. The code keeps working forever; it just points to your content.

What can a QR code do besides open a link?

Lots. This studio builds QR codes that join a WiFi network, save a contact card to a phone, add an event to a calendar, start a pre-filled email or text, drop a map pin, or open any link — all encoded directly into the image.

Can I put my logo or album art in the QR code?

Yes. Drop a logo in the center, or use Artwork mode to blend the whole code over a photo or album cover so the artwork itself is scannable. Everything is processed in your browser — your images are never uploaded.

Will a styled or animated QR code still scan?

Yes. The studio uses high error-correction and keeps the data modules high-contrast and static; only the decorative glow animates. A live scannability check under the preview warns you instantly if your colours are too close to scan — and you can always scan the preview with your phone before you print.

Can I add a SCAN ME frame around my QR code?

Yes — pick a frame (label, banner, bubble, viewfinder, ribbon or mini ticket), type your own call-to-action and choose its colour. The frame shows live in the preview and exports with the PNG and PDF downloads. Free, like everything else here.

What is a dynamic QR code and is it free?

A dynamic QR points to a short link you can re-point to a new destination after you've printed it — the image never changes, only where it goes. Most tools charge monthly for this; here it's free. You get a private manage link so you can edit the destination forever, from any device, with no account. You can also choose a custom ending (maddafakka.org/s/your-song) so it reads as your own link, not a random code. It can even send iPhone users to Apple Music and Android users to Spotify automatically.

How do I see how many times my QR code was scanned?

Make it a dynamic QR (the ⚡ Dynamic toggle at the top of the studio), then open or paste its manage link anytime to see a live dashboard: a scans-per-day chart for the last 30 days, total scans, top countries and the iPhone/Android split — first-party, no tracking pixels. A plain static QR is just an image, so it can't be measured; only dynamic codes report scans. This works for any link, not just music.

Can the QR code be my album art (halftone)?

Yes. Upload artwork and turn on Halftone, and the studio renders the code as a halftone of your image so the artwork itself scans. Scan the preview with your phone to confirm before printing — busy images scan less reliably.

Do the QR codes expire or stop working?

Never. These are static QR codes — the content is encoded directly into the image, so there's nothing on our side to expire. As long as your destination works, the QR works.

Static or dynamic — which should I use for print?

If you don't need to change the link later or count scans, static is the safest for print (posters, merch, business cards, packaging): your URL is baked into the image, so it's permanent, free, and doesn't depend on any provider staying alive. If you do want to re-point the code after printing, track scans, or smart-route iPhone vs Android — go dynamic; here it's free with no scan caps and no reactivation paywall.

How does this compare to QR Tiger, Bitly and similar freemium tools?

Those are solid products, but their free tiers are trials: typically around three dynamic QR codes capped at a few hundred scans, with analytics and most styling behind a paid plan. Here, dynamic QR codes, the scan-analytics dashboard (with a per-day chart), smart device routing, frames, templates and every export are free — no scan caps, no reactivation paywall, no watermark, no account.

Can I password-protect a link, schedule it, or A/B test it?

Yes — all free, under the dynamic QR's ⚡ Power options. Password-protect the destination, schedule it to go live or expire on a date, expire it after a set number of scans, set a fallback URL, or A/B-split visitors between two destinations. QR Tiger and similar tools charge monthly for password, scheduling and A/B rotation; here they're part of the free dynamic code. There's also a UTM tag builder so you can attribute scans in your own analytics — no tracking pixels.
